Final meeting of 37th Islamic Unity Conference highlights Palestine issue

The Heads of Muslim world universities meet with participants to 37th Islamic unity conference to discuss the issue of Palestine and rejection of normalization with Israeli regime on the final statement of the meeting.

AhlulBayt News Agency (ABNA): The Heads of Muslim world universities meet with participants to 37th Islamic unity conference to discuss the issue of Palestine and rejection of normalization with Israeli regime on the final statement of the meeting.

Secretary General of World Forum for Proximity of Islamic Schools of Thought, Hujjat-ul-Islam Hamid Shahriari, in this meeting called on the participants to propose issues to be included in the final statement of the 37th edition of the Islamic Unity Conference.

The cleric counted support for the Palestinian nation, practical confrontation with Israeli regime, family as the canon for raising the new generation and also rejection of normalization to be included in the final statement.

Participants to the 37th Islamic Unity Conference also called for launching a committee for reconciliation between Yemeni nation and government, boosting the foundations of families, discussing practical ways towards Islamic unity and bringing the measures taken in this line in 38th edition of the conference.

Scholars and experts attending this meeting also stressed necessity of establishing the Union of Islamic Countries.

Further attention on capabilities of the social networks, the situation of Muslims in Europe and compilation of proximity books for high school students.

They also called for launching an office for Islamic unity at the Foreign Ministry and demanding the OIC for assistance in line with Islamic unity.

The meeting of top officials with Muslim elites and scholars from different countries was held on Tuesday night on the last leg of the 37th Islamic Unity Conference.

This edition of the Islamic Unity Conference with the theme “Islamic Cooperation to Achieve Common Values” was held on September 28 to October 2 with more than 230 guests attending the event in person. More than 260 prominent religious and cultural figures from across the globe also attended the online section of the conference.
